Frequently Asked Questions
What if my player can't make all of the practices?
Every player, both new and experienced, contributes to our program's success. As a team sport, players who prioritize coming to practice have the best experience and contribute the most. Please try to attend all practices that you are able to. Please use the Crossbar app to let the team know if your player is unable to attend a practice or game.
Weekday practices start early - what if I can't get there exactly on time?
Please bring your player to practice, even if you will be late.
There are several youth lacrosse clubs. How do I know if my player should be a Rattler?
The Rattlers are the designated youth program for students who are zoned to attend Round Rock HS, Stony Point HS, Cedar Ridge HS, Hutto HS and any Pflugerville ISD HS. If your player is home schooled or attends a private or charter school without its own high school lacrosse program, your address will determine what public high school you are zoned for. If you have any questions about playing for the Rattlers, please contact us.
My daughter would like to play lacrosse, do the Rattlers have a girls team?
The Rattlers currently only have a boys team. Several girls have opted to play for the Rattlers in the past. Girls who play for the Rattlers play boys lacrosse with boys equipment. If your daughter would rather play for a girls team, we can provide contact info for local teams.
What is a "Play Day?"
"Play Days" are tournaments where teams gather at a single location to play 2-3 games in a day or weekend. Typically these are offered to Bantam & Lightning level teams.
